So I have been on vacation.. still on vacation but need to get on my blog. Today is the 30th. My wonderful pops bday but Ill get back to that.

The 23rd was my freind cassies due date. Baby tillman yet. Cassie is only at 1 cm so if shes not here by Friday they will be evicting her! lol. Matt and I went to the unit to finish his last day of work before vacay so I hung out and read my bible [the one i will be letting my freind borrow since I just got a new one to break in for chirstmas!! be careful with her shes my favorite! lol] and then I wandered around the unit chucking balls at ppl and playing with my camera. On our way to albay to get to matts moms our tire blew a lil south of Lamoni! that sucked. But thank God for a blessing in desquise, our tire messed up before our long part of the journey to my dads where we would have no family close and near the only well lit parking lot there is on that route. So we were being looked out for to get it fixed while we were close to help and in a safe place.

Dec 24th

Christmas Eve. how exciting. We played with baby Dylan who is getting so so big. and more gorgeous by the min. Matt and uncle Edide got the tire fixed so we could head out. and we opend gifts with that part of the family. I got eldons 300 win mag for Christmas. Cant beleive it. Love that man. means so much that he handed that to me instead of saleing it for around 400 bucks to the guy that wanted it. After that we headed out to southern mo. The roads were snowing and iceing the entire way. It sucked. took us like an extra 1hr n half then usual. We arrived around 11 or so and dad had chicken and mac n cheese ready for us cause i said we were coming in tired and hungry from the long trip. went to bed shortly so the lil ones could get snuggled in and not miss santa. they were really worried we were gonna be awake and he would skip the house! haha... but sure enough. He came! haha...

dec 25th

Christmas.. Happy bday Jesus.

Lil Haley, well no SO little anymore. Cant beleive she is 8 now. But she woke us up since we were on the air matress by the tree. she was so excited to see so many presents. It was a simple family time Christmas and thats just how I like it. lots of laughs. Frosting covered faces from decorating cookies and tons of fun. Dad and I ended up staying up allll night matt and Kayleen were up playing cards with us till their batteries died and they crashed. We stayed up talking about old memoreis and what not having fun.

dec 26th

Eddie and lonnie left with the girls.

Haley was very sad and didnt want to go. The rest of us had a very lazy day relaxing after all the holiday busyness. then it was church in rogers Ak with stan tyra. Hes amazing. I love that church. He also has a great blog. His church really does great things. People are even getting healed there. and after every church service there we hit krispy kreme on the way home.. yum.

dec 27th

We ran som errands. Took care of miss ellen, a very sweet lil lady sharon takes care of.

then we went country cruising and eagle watching. they are all over down here. just trying to get close enought to get some good pics. We saw two big eagles attacking a big dog in a feild. Pulled to the side of the road to watch. Im sure glad the dog got away. It was a bad day for him though. The eagles were sure beating him up. It was intense for a bit.

dec 28th n 29th

the guys went out and done some work while i done some laundry then we all just hung out and played cards and stuff. Just family time. didnt really do too much. Levi came over and hung out with his freind issac. and matt and I went and got some things from our storage.

dec 30th

back to today. haha.. like I said. Its dads bday.

Not much happend. Its been really nasty and cold today so we just stayed in. made a cake and my fave thing sharon makes. Cheesy chicken. other then that. laughed our asses off at some youtube videos. guys done some work. then we all just hung out watching movies some more.. think we might play some cards..

thats it so far.. ill try to keep up on it more even on vacation lol.. and we will be heading back home this weekend.

head to my moms on saturday and then leave there for home sunday sometime.

Excited!!

Ok, Today I have been packing and making my list to make sure that I dont forget anything. We are getting ready to leave tomorrow morning to start our Christmas marathon. I get to go to work with matt so we can leave from there save time and money. I like going to work with him. Playing around the unit checking out cool stuff like the gun range in the basement and the big trucks they have. On the down time I will sit in his office and take some much needed time to get some good reading in. Bible thumping as my freind calls it! haha. Proud thumper here. Said freind has made me realize yet another of my prayers are being answered. Means alot that she nearly gave me shock yesterday in saying she would read the bible and at least make and effort in seeing where she stands. I hope that her journey into it will be as fullfilling and pleasant as mine. But I must say I read and read and still felt a bit lost without asking him into my heart and getting baptized. But im VERY proud that shes taking this MAJOR step from her original stand point on things.

We got a new toilette seat! lol. So I thought that would be an interesting blog picture! haha.. our other one took a crap and needed replaced. lol.

Onto another note the good news that I put up about chase is kinda taken another turn. He was saposed to start stem cell recovery today and he spiked a fever and they found some infection so that means hes on 10 day antibiotics and will be in the hospital those full ten days while they monitor this and take out his tubes and stuff. Looks like they will be spending Christmas in the hospital and not with the other 2 boys and family. Very sad. But like said, Jesus has his reasons, he doesn't cause, but he allows. Sometimes things that seem like bad luck are really blessings. Like a stalled car in a traffic light that puts you just enough time behind a major accident. Or your babysitter canceling last min causing you to not go out and be at the wrong place. Some of his work in our lives seem like bad luck. When really they are blessings.

I also am a dork that loves Farrah Fawcett, God rest her soul. And Jaqulin Smith so on my netflix we just got in my request for all the ORIGINAL charlies angel episodes.. thats my other picture. Im very excited about it so im goin to get off of here and go watch them.

Not sure If I will have a chance to put a blog up till I get to my dads around Thursday or Friday so if im not on I will catch you up then. We are stopping at matts moms for a night to break up the trip and she doesn't have a computer!

finally some good news.

first off I havnt posted in 2 days. Matt was home for the weekend, and we pretty much just lounged together, watched movies and ate a lot of pizza! Christmas in 4 days and we barley have the money to make it to our family let alone have gifts for everyone. Thank God I have a family that knows the real meaning of Christmas. Cause getting there is about all we can do. Im excited to see everyone and go to our church. I miss it so much.

On to the good news that I have. Most people that know me know that I have had a hard time dealing with cancer lately. One loss and one battle goin on. My freinds boy that has stage 4 adrenal nuroblastoma has some good news finally. His ACN went from 770 saturday to 7000 today! They get to do his stem cell and bone marrow recovery. Thank you Jesus and everyone thats been praying. keep it up. Hes not out of the dark by a long shot yet but thas a good step in the right direction. This is just one of the treatments he will have to do but at least we are making progress. Drs said that if he makes it through the next 5 months he will make it through radiation. They are upping his chemo again and its going to hit him hard, he will be a very sick little boy. So please keep him in your prayers.

House hunting!!

No, not for us. haha. I helped my friends look for houses today. Found a few apts but that was it.

I didnt really feel good so for the most part after that I curled up and lounged in my PJs and wrote in my journal.. ya, im a little old fashioned I guess. Have a blog and still right in my book.

Be bold for Jesus.

I was reading my bible today and started thinking about how much its changed since I first opened it. When its cover was still crisp and untattered. The corners were not curled up, no little rips and tears could be found. That has defiantly changed, its faded, with cracks and a few places showing weakness. Where it was once shiny and new it now shows imperfections. Kind of sounds like a Christian. We get messed up, faded and broke down every now and then, and like we patch up the corners and little rips and tears, He fixes and takes away our sins and pain. My bible has bended corners, just like some of the routes I've taken in life, where Jesus had to straighten me out. It's has tape holding it together in some places, just like I need him to do for me a lot of times. Only my bibles tape needs replaced unlike our Savior who never lets up. I love my bible all beat up, just like I'm thankful He loves all his children despite our imperfections and weaknesses. A good bible should be just as worn in as our favorite pair of jeans, should have as many dents and scrapes as our cellphones. Can you imagine how much better our world would be if everyone had a beaten up bible. I know that my dads bible is way more tattered then mine, I think thats a new goal of mine. This world is falling apart, it's time for Christians to fall together.

I decided to give my bible a photo shoot. turned out pretty cute. Matt and I have a challenge from our pastor, to raise enough money to make it on the next Haiti mission trip. We are really wanting to go and ALL donations made are tax deductible! Any help would mean the world to us. Thank you.

Its possible. Miracles still happen today, and he gave all us the holy spirit to do his work. We are his hands and feet here on earth.

COOKIES!!

Today was pretty laid back.. Just done some wedding stuff, then made some cookies. oddly enough this little apartment didnt come with an oven so I have been going crazy wanting to bake and make cookies.. then it crossed my mind to make a type of cookies that my sister and I made with our grandma on April fools day when we were younger. "bacon and egg" cookies!! They are so cute.. and soo yummy!!

Just another day..

Today was pretty uneventful. Ran some errands. Picked up stuff to make cookies tomorrow. Dinner at pizza ranch and home, to my surprise matt stopped me in the middle of dishes, and took over. How sweet. Just got to love moments like that.

We just got back from town, ran to hobby lobby with SGT Jackson to price some gifts for his wife. I just needed outta this house. Matt and I have been snowed in, our car is starting to slowly show its face again out there, the truck was dug out a few days ago so they could get to work. Im such a pansy in the snow that I just cant be out long when I do try and get some fresh air, and boy does that air have a cold bite! Its not good to have a camera out in the cold.. not so much the cold hair hurts it but you have to be careful takin it back inside. The cold and snow will frost them and make condensation and mold. Somthing I much want to avoid on my baby! Leaving the house is very hard to do without her! haha. My addiction gets worse with evey click of the shutter!! Like it needed to get worse anyway.. gosh it was already bad enough! I just needed a short outlet to pass some time, distract my mind and of course, share some pictures!

I recently made a photography website. www.wix.com/lashellelynn/photography . I have always loved writing and taking pictures, everything from digital to darkroom. I took classes in high school and college and loved every min of it. Recently my fiance baught me a cannon DSLR that Ive been wanting for years. My new camera has taken my photographic addiction to even higher levels and I wanted a way to share my pictures. Im not sure if I will keep it as my hobby or down the road make it my career. Im just having fun and seeing where it takes me.
